Deployment Checklist

Implementation

 

Site

  • Have you configured your base site settings in the Admin UI?
  • Have you entered in the IP addresses of all your servers that are authorized to communicate with the Nitro Server on your behalf?
  • If you're using Flash content, have you entered in all approved Flash Content URLs?

 

Actions and Challenges

  • Have you entered all your Actions into the Admin UI on a production Nitro server, and inserted the appropriate calls to user.logAction throughout your site?
  • Have you tested all your Actions and Challenges?
  • Have you implemented your Achievement Callback URL and tested it?

 

User-Facing Elements

  • Which user-facing elements have you implemented?
    • Trophy Case
      • Have you designed all your trophies?
      • Have you hosted them on your network or CDN, and created pointers to them in the Admin UI?
      • Have you integrated the Trophy Case(s) into one or more page(s
    • Leaderboards
      • Have you integrated your leaderboards into the appropriate areas of your site?
    • Notifier
      • Have you integrated the Notifier library into your site?
      • Have you implemented all the messaging that you want to show to users?
      • Have you restyled the Notifier?
    • Newsfeeds
      • Have you configured all Actions and Challenges with Action URLs? Icon URLs?
      • Have you integrated Newsfeeds into your site?
    • Canvas & Virtual Assets
      • Have you create or repurposed assets for the Canvas?
      • Have you hosted them on your network or CDN, and created pointers to them in the Admin UI?
      • Have you embedded the Canvas somewhere on your
    • Tofoo Avatar (deprecated. Starting June, use Canvas instead)
      • Have you embedded the Avatar module somewhere on your site?
    • Games (no longer supported)
      • Have you embedded the Games module somewhere on your site?

 

Flash Content

  •  Have you built the appropriate (AS2 or AS3) Nitro Flash Connector into your Flash Content, added authorized content via the Admin UI, and tested everything to make sure it works? 

 


 

Launch

  • What is your deployment and rollout schedule?
  • Are you expecting any spikes in traffic?
  • Roughly, how many users are you expecting?
  • Roughly, how many API calls do you expect to make per day? per user?
  • Have you thoroughly tested your Nitro integration?
  • Is all your Admin data on the production Nitro server?
  • Is your code all pointing to the production Nitro server?
  • Have you notified your Bunchball contact when your site will be going live?

 


 

Post-Launch

  • What site metrics are you measuring to let you know whether Nitro is meeting your goals?  Are you using Nitro Reporting?
  • Is Nitro meeting your goals?
  • What user feedback are you getting?
  • Are you periodically releasing updates to virtual goods, Tasks, Challenges, etc.?
